![]() ![]() #Avira vpn chrome downloadWe tested the free services of nine VPN service providers - Avira Phantom VPN,, Hotspot Shield, the Opera browser VPN, ProtonVPN, Speedify, SurfEasy, TunnelBear and Windscribe - in the spring of 2018 at a suburban New York home provisioned with regular, consumer-grade cable-broadband internet service.Įach service was tested three times using Ookla's Speedtest, and the service's connection times, network latency (i.e., delay), and upload and download speeds were averaged. ![]() The fact that we were consistently able to connect was remarkable, although the results might be different on a different day.Ĭaveat: Using a VPN or a proxy service to stream content you're not supposed to be able to access in your location violates all sorts of terms of service, and possibly even some laws, and any streaming service could terminate your account as a result. Netflix actively hunts down and blocks proxy services and VPN services, and getting a stream varies wildly among services, countries and even times of day. ![]() The latter doesn't quite explain how we were able to stream either "Star Trek: Discovery" or "Doctor Who."ĭespite the vagueness about the location, OperaVPN's Netflix connection rate was much better than those of many paid VPN services. Google Search seemed to think were in Ukraine, but an IP address locator put "Europe" in Sweden, "Asia" in Singapore and "Americas" in Virginia. We couldn't tell exactly which country we were connected to in each instance. A true VPN would encrypt every piece of internet data going to and from a device, no matter the application handling the data. Opera won't protect other web browsers or stand-alone email clients. It encrypts only the Opera browser's traffic and routes it through a server operated by Canadian VPN provider SurfEasy. The Opera "VPN" is technically a secure proxy service. For that, we recommend a fast, unlimited, paid service such as Private Internet Access or Windscribe. Paid VPNs: Which Should You Choose?īecause this service doesn't protect anything but the Opera browser's data, it's not feasible to use the built-in VPN-like service as a full-time home VPN solution. Most of these plans limit your data usage or network speed Opera's browser VPN does neither, but it's not really a VPN (explained below) and its network performance has become far worse than even the throttled speeds of some other service's. It's better to use the free plans the best VPN providers offer as samples of their services. ![]()

![]() ![]() On top of this we still have deathmatch, team deathmatch, and a strategy oriented village mode to further increase the hours that can be spent on this game. After 15 hours of single player I'm not even one third of the way through - and after 7 or so into co-op I still have two chapters left to complete. Much like this review, Two Worlds 2 is an incredibly meaty game with tons of content for both single player and co-op. Normally this wouldn’t be so bad.except that there’s no way to save mid mission. While the first few might take 30 to 45 minutes each, the laters missions can take almost two hours each. The only major problem I can find with the co-op is the inconsistent length of the missions themselves. ![]() Players share XP from kills, and it seems the host player sets the difficulty for the map, which makes it easy to power level your friends. You can also easily split up across any area on the map, as there’s no tethering. It appears as though the game scales the number of enemies depending on the number of players - which is a good thing. Teamwork seems essential, as these online chapters are quite difficult and its nice to have a good balance of player classes. I love seeing the variety of characters online: the game allows you to choose the race, sex, and general class of your character - it’s easy to differentiate people while playing online. ![]() The co-op in Two Worlds 2 consists of seven mini quests that branch the story between the first game and the second - for the most part gameplay is identical to the single player but with the added strategy and chaos that comes from introducing seven other players into your game. ![]() ![]() ![]() Socialization through bowling is cool for both disabled and able-bodied persons. For example, if a disabled bowler scores 210, then -10 is considered a handicap, which is a negative handicap because the bowler’s actual score will be 200 (assuming 100% as a percentage factor). Can you have a negative handicap in bowling?Īccording to USBC, the negative handicap is applied if a disabled bowler scores 200 or more without the handicap score, which means it is done on an individual basis. So, when the handicap is added to increase the total score of the disabled bowler, it is considered a good handicap. Hence, it acts as a major advantage and often makes teams win. Whatever the handicapped bowler’s score is, he/she will get at least 50 added to their original score. This is because the bowling handicap allows them to have a better score than an able-bodied bowler may not score. Therefore, your disability won’t stop you from getting a nice score!īowlers often prefer having handicapped bowlers in their leagues. Now, let’s say in the tournament, your scratch scores are 165, 170, and 175.īut now that you know your handicap is 54. Now if you put the numbers as per the formula, you will get, Now, you ‘re bowling in a tournament where the base value is 210 and the percentage factor is 90%. Let’s assume your bowling average is 150. The formula for bowling handicap is, Handicap = (basis value – average) x percentage factor Just add this bowling handicap to your actual bowling score for each game. Voila! Now you know your bowling handicap. Now that you have your average score, subtract it from the basis score and then multiply the result by the percentage factor. After that divide the added score by the number of games you have bowled. ![]() To know your average score, first, add all of the scores from your previous official league games. The percentage factors are typically 80%, 90%, or 100%, but it varies in special games or competitions, and 90% is used in most cases. Generally, the basis scores vary from about 200, 210, or 220, which means it is the high score that is intended to be higher than any individual’s bowling score average. All you have to do is ask your tournament or league officials what percentage factor and basis score they use. To calculate the bowling handicap, you must know the used percentage factor and the used basis average from your tournament and league officials. The bowling handicap is the percentage of the difference between the basis average and your bowling average.
![]() ![]() The consensus is a healthy dose of variability in peak morning players versus peak evening players is okay for as long as it doesn’t exceed 25%. If we want to be hyper-analytical, then we can also consider how being a morning person or evening person affects the dynamics, performance, and winning percentages of a group.ĭata on this topic has been collected in field sport athletes (rugby, field hockey, and soccer) at both elite and amateur levels. These data trends also reveal that west coast teams tend to have better regular-season winning percentages due to playing fewer games in their biological afternoon and more evening games when we experience a "second wind" in alertness/motivation. To date, there are some data trends from the regular season of the National Football League showing that risk for injury is highest when mental fatigue due to drops in core body temperature is highest compared to any other time of the day. Mental acuity is required to execute highly coordinated movements with a higher risk of injury, so it's understandable why this relationship with time of day matters for the top-performing athlete. These high points and low points coincide with peak and troughs in core body temperature, respectively. In general, we have two high points and two low points in the day when fatigue is at its highest or lowest. In fact, in a study of elite weightlifters, it took a performance-enhancing stimulant (caffeine) to get lifting performance to afternoon levels in a sample of athletes lifting in the morning.Īnother point to consider is how biological clocks can drive risk for injury. At this time, levels of norepinephrine and adrenaline-driven by time of day have been shown to prime for peak muscle power and muscle recruitment. Weights, on the other hand, ought to be reserved for the late afternoon. Rises in morning cortisol levels prime our body to be awake with the mid-morning peak in cortisol corresponding with peak mental alertness.Ĭortisol also allows for the recruitment of energy reserves, glucose, and especially fats, making cardio much easier to complete and making it much easier to push to a higher level of performance aerobically. This is part of the reason why it is so difficult to sleep past a particular hour if you are waking up in the west after just traveling from the east. Rises in cortisol levels drive the act of waking up in the morning. So, what should you do first - cardio or weights - if you want to align peak performance with your biological clock? Cardio! Read more: Muscle Clocks and The Value of Synchronized Training But beyond just being a genetic anomaly, recent research shows that endurance activities ought to be reserved for one time of the day and power activities for another time of the day. Endurance athletes may pre-select for their sport because their body clocks can tolerate the extremely early morning rise times, much like top-performing executives might pre-select their career due to having the short sleep gene. The inner workings of these biological clocks can also help dictate whether someone is truly a morning person or a night owl. These clocks work together to help us perform at our best during some hours, to capitalize on sleep during other hours, and to quickly re-adjust to changes in the environment, such as flying to a new time zone. These biological clocks are present in nearly every tissue of the brain and body. #Around the clock fitness series#For sleep scientists, we think of training around the clock as the literal biological clock, a unique series of biological factors that determine when we release certain wake-promoting hormones, recovery-promoting hormones, and sleep-promoting hormones. ![]() ![]() ![]() Not a Pro? The classes will be structured to help establish routines, but creating a schedule at home will help optimize a student’s success. We encourage a daily routine to support student learning. This adult is responsible for supporting and helping the student complete online activities and assessments. Younger students will need a parent or other adult for daily facilitation. #Ischool virtual academy calendar registration
